Founding Pastor Steve Hirst brings us a special Father’s Day message for our Advance series. Steve encouraged fathers to advance in four different ways in your family; to occupy your PLACE as the leader, to set a PACE in following God, to give GRACE when things don’t go right and to finish the RACE. Put simply if you aren’t moving forward you aren’t advancing.

In week two of our ADVANCE series Joel looks at the beginning of Jesus ministry in Matthew 3 & 4. It wasn’t the waters of baptism that launched his ministry, this advanced him straight to the wilderness! Rather it was the 40 days of fasting and temptation that laid the foundation to advance him into his 3.5 years of life changing, history shaping ministry. God has a purpose in your trails, if it was good enough for Jesus it is good enough for us!

Neill Fletcher is part of our Ministry Lead Team and is looking after Pastoral Care at Hope Chapel. On Sunday Neill focused our attention on Pastoral Care and the need for all of us to take responsibility in this area. The ultimate aim is that together we become like strong Oaks. Isaiah 61:3 "In their righteousness, they will be like great oaks that the Lord has planted for his own glory."
